In the first part of this three part series on Twitter, I covered some of the more popular desktop applications you can use in conjunction with your Twitter account. Now it is time to shine the light on some online applications which add even more functionality to Twitter.

Twubble: A handy site where you can search and add new Twitters to your Twitter list. The way it works is you enter your Twitter account information then the site searches the list of friends you are following for people who are following them. The result is a sometimes long list of fellow Twitters you can start following.

Twitterchat: Twitterchat offers people with a Twitter account the ability to create a chat box where you can chat with your friends who also have a Twitter account. The chat box created has a simplified instant messenger interface which you can install (the coding is provided for you to Copy + Paste) on your blog or site, or you can follow it via your Twitter account page. One of the fastest-growing web applications out there today is Twitter. Despite the number of downtimes and crashes it has suffered since it began, Twitter is fast becoming one of the most popular and useful communication tools on the web.

After setting up a free account, I logged-in and was presented with a page listing the features available for free accounts: inviting another team member (remember you’re allowed only two team members including yourself for a free account), setting up the first of five pages for the account, and setting up reminders (email or text message reminders that can be set up through your account to remind you of important dates, meetings, etc.).
